Barry and Gen may have retired, but these spirited seniors aren’t slowing down!
With overseas travel to plan, family feuds to settle, the inevitable health problems, and a friend to bury, Barry and Gen put the fun into funerals and discover new complications in conjugal relations.
From Roger Hall, theatre legend and award-winning writer of Glide Time, Middle-Age Spread and Four Flat Whites in Italy, Winding Up is a hilarious testament to the lighter side of the golden years.
Escape the heat and book for this summer’s sparkling world premiere!

A sure-fire hit.
Superb entertainment... Sir Roger Hall may be in his 80's but he's let us all know loud and clear that he still has 'it'; in fact, this latest work is one of his best.
Brilliant… his dialogue is so natural and artless, it’s less like being in a theatre and more like overhearing your parents or grandparents conversation (but a lot funnier). If you’re a boomer (like me) you might wonder if maybe he put a bug in your lounge and recorded your conversations with your spouse.
Roger Hall has managed to capture the essence of the lives of retired couples in a perceptive play full of keen observation and incisive wit.
