Steve has enjoyed playing many memorable characters on stage during the last 20 years - a number under David Adkins’ direction, including the ‘Dentist’ in Little Shop of Horrors, ‘Billy Flynn’ in Chicago, ‘Eric ‘Rubberlegs’ Devene’ in A Slice of Saturday Night, and the ‘Narrator’ in North Shore Music Theatre’s 2002 production of Blood Brothers. Other credits include ‘Bud Frump’ in How to Succeed..., ‘Frederick’ in The Pirates of Penzance, ‘Duke’ in Big River and ‘Judge Turpin’ in Sweeny Todd for Auckland Music Theatre.
He has appeared on stage as member of the 1997 New Zealand touring company of The Pirates of Penzance, been a vocalist with show band Be-Bop & Beyond, and played ‘Gaston’ in the 2006 Auckland premier season of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Steve is currently Judging Convener for the NAPTA Awards.
