Lynn Webster - Sister Mary Lazarus
Originally from the US, Lynn has worked professionally in Chicago, Toronto, New York and London, including appearing in Guys and Dolls at the National Theatre in the 1980s.
After moving to New Zealand in 1997, she has appeared in many musicals and plays throughout Auckland, and especially enjoyed the other Amici shows she has performed in - namely 42nd Street and Anything Goes - both at The Civic.
Equally at home in plays, Lynn won a NAPTA award as ‘Helene Hanff’ in
84 Charing Cross Road and an ACTT award as ‘Nurse Ratched’ in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Last year was especially fulfilling, playing ‘Kate’ in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons for Company Theatre and winning another NAPTA for her role as ‘Grandmother’ in A Little Night Music at Auckland Music Theatre.
Lynn feels that her life on stage has come full circle since she started as a summer stock chorus nun in The Sound of Music in Indiana!
